Happy Read a Book Day!
Reading makes me happy. It always has. I can remember way back to when I would sit on the floor with crossed legs and children’s books, such as The Little Engine that Could and Sleepy, Sleepy Puppy, encircled me. Since then, my circle has evolved and grown beyond big.
Today on the official Read a Book Day, I’m thinking about how integral books have been to the formation of who I am, and am grateful to all the writers who put all that it takes to write a book and expressed themselves in page form. Here is where you imagine me bowing to you all.
It is every author’s dream to write something that readers get something of value from, and that is my wish as well. On this special day, I would ask that you give my stories a try, crossing my fingers that my wish comes true many times over because readers’ experience is what it’s all about.
But beyond my bit of self-promotion, know that I recognize that reading is an adventure no matter your taste, and raise a toast to readers and writers everywhere!
What books makes you happy?
